Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can obtain your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar company and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special stipulations on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
